Need an energy boost before hitting the beach? Skip Starbucks or Dunkin’. In Jacksonville Beach, there are more than enough local coffee shops to keep you caffeinated and energized every day of the week.
As a freelance writer, I spend most of my workdays in a coffee shop, typing away at my keyboard. I’ve made it my mission to try every single coffee shop on this list — and I’ve already crossed off quite a few!

In this guide to Jacksonville Beach coffee shops, I’ll share the need-to-know details about the local options, including details on whether they’re remote-work-friendly.
I’ll also share a few menu recommendations for the ones I’ve visited (Full disclosure: I’m an iced coffee girl). If you’re a coffee fiend, you’ll want to bookmark this list!
Grab your cup and settle in. It’s time to get caffeinated!
Round Bird Coffee Shop
Round Bird Coffee Shop goes beyond the typical coffee shop fare — although they’re good at that, too. The menu is inspired by the flavors of South Africa, which means you can pair a meat pie with a glass of South African wine if you’re not in the mood for coffee.
Good for Remote Work? Yes! There are several standalone tables, a long communal table, couches, and a few tables for outdoor seating. I love that the outlets are easy to access. They have several extension cords with outlets hanging from the ceiling so you can power up without sitting near the wall.
What’s On the Menu? I love trying one of the seasonal syrups in my cold brew. When hunger strikes, I grab a warm chocolate croissant for a quick snack.
Address: 1094 3rd St N, Jacksonville Beach, FL, 32250
Southern Grounds – Neptune Beach

Southern Grounds is a Jacksonville staple with four locations. I haven’t visited them all yet, but it will be hard to top the Neptune Beach location. It’s located in the Beaches Town Center and just a short walk from the beach. There’s a large courtyard with plenty of tables. The menu is extensive, too, with options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Good for Remote Work? Yes, especially on gorgeous Florida days. I usually head here when I want to work outside for several hours. It’s close enough to the beach that you can still catch a breeze, and the patio is large enough that it’s still possible to find a table later in the morning.
What’s On the Menu? The rotating seasonal syrups are a fun way to give a standard iced coffee a different kick. For lunch, the Turkey Apple Brie sandwich on walnut bread is out of this world.
Address: 200 1st Street, Neptune Beach, FL 32266
Sago Coffee
Sago Coffee is always bustling and with good reason. It’s an ideal remote work location with delicious coffee to boot! They also pair with a local nonprofit partner each quarter to help give back to the Jacksonville Beach community. They donate 25% of their profit to their nonprofit partner.

Breezy Coffee Shop Wine Bar
No lie – sometimes I dream about Breezy’s House Iced Coffee. The mix of chocolate, caramel, and coconut is so refreshing, and very fitting for a coffee shop within walking distance to the beach! The parking lot is small, but there is street parking down the side streets.
Good for Remote Work? Breezy is located in a house just a few blocks from the beach and has two stories filled with work tables.

This is in the heart of the Jacksonville Beach area near Seawalk Pavilion and just a few minutes from the beach.
Good for Remote Work? Yes, there are some tables inside and a few scattered outside on the front and side patios.

Bold Bean Coffee Roasters – Jax Beach
Like Southern Grounds, Bold Bean is another Jacksonville staple with multiple locations throughout the city. This Bold Bean spot is in a plaza surrounded by several shops and restaurants.
Good for Remote Work? Yes, there are tables and a patio. This location is near one of the busier streets in Jacksonville Beach, but far enough from the road to make it a worthy spot for remote work.
What’s On the Menu? Coffee, coffee, and more coffee. There are endless options here, as well as plenty of teas available. While there is some grab-and-go food and several pastry options, it doesn’t offer extensive breakfast options.

Remember the Atlantic Theatre? It’s not a theater anymore, but it is still anchoring the North Beach Shopping Center. Zap Cat Espresso Bar is located in what was once the theater lobby. With well-priced coffee, friendly staff, and plenty of space to work, it’s a great option for locals and visitors.
Good for Remote Work? Yes! There’s plenty of space inside and a patio right outside. There’s usually space available at both, so feel free to wander over later in the morning.
What’s On the Menu? I’ve opted for a standard iced coffee during my visits, but they have a rotating seasonal menu filled with unique recipes. The Spring Menu, for example, included an iced Push Pop coffee that included espresso, strawberry, orange, coconut cream, and milk. Yum!

Foxtail Coffee & Kelly’s Ice Cream

Bodega Bar + Coffee
Sure, Southern Grounds and Starbucks get most of the attention in the Beaches Town Center. But Bodega Bar + Coffee is a must-visit, especially if you have a bit of time to browse the surf shop! The coffee shop is located in Jax Surf & Paddle.
Good for Remote Work? There are some tables inside and outside, but Bodega is better suited for snagging a cup of Joe before exploring the beach or the rest of the town center.
What’s On the Menu? This coffee shop has hot or iced coffee, cold brew, and espresso. Of course, you can always skip the coffee and grab a cocktail instead!

Delicomb is a remote worker’s dream. The coffee is delicious, the food menu is expansive, and the seating is plentiful. The menu is natural and organic, with all the food prepared in their scratch kitchen. The coffee menu includes a full espresso bar, matcha, and other coffee shop favorites.
